Abstract:
A transdisciplinary approach could open new avenues for evaluating study programs by transcending traditional disciplinary boundaries and adopting a holistic perspective. The quality management system (QMS) at TU Dresden already integrates diverse stakeholders and societal discourses. However, this article explores whether transdisciplinary methods could offer further potential for improving the system. It discusses possible benefits and challenges of expanding existing processes, particularly regarding the inclusion of additional knowledge holders and innovative communication formats. It reflects on the opportunities and challenges such approaches might present, considering whether the time investment required for intensified triangulation could enhance evaluation processes.
