Abstract:
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is also changing the academic landscape in education and particularly in teacher training programmes. It confronts university lecturers with the question of how to approach the supervision of written academic qualification work in a completely new way. A paradigm shift is called for and recommended: away from the assessment of completed theses and towards their supervision in dialogue. As a process, the resulting dialogue-based supervision poses new challenges for the university examination culture. In addition to fundamental positions on this, an example of an already existing model of dialogue-based supervision is presented.
