Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming design. As part of a course at the New Design University in St. Pölten, the impact of AI on the methodology of the design process in the field of interior architecture was explored. For this purpose, a gastronomy-related design project was chosen to allow students to experience the practical application of a proposed workflow within a given framework. AI design strategies and design loops were specifically employed within a progressive guideline. The results were analyzed focusing on the concepts of storytelling, design processes, and communicability, and were prepared for further academic research perspectives.
