Abstract:
This article discusses how online self-assessments can be meaningfully and usefully combined with face-to-face study counselling. The concept of blended counselling is introduced, which represents a structured combination of online and offline study information and counselling services. How can an online-supported and transparent system of study counselling and services be created that is ideally oriented not only to the needs of the target groups, but also to those of the study counsellors and other stakeholders at the university (i.e. those who offer counselling, courses and other services for (prospective) students)? The article presents an integrative model based on the blended counselling concept and outlines concrete implementation options. These are illustrated by the example of the structured linking of online self-assessments and face-to-face student counselling.
