Abstract:
Unique in Germany, the Koordinierungsstelle für Studieninformation und -beratung in Niedersachsen (kfsn) has supported universities for four decades. Anchored in the state Rectors’ Conference it lifts quality across institutions: a statewide info portal, training and supervision for advisors, networking, shared marketing, and expert media – without offering individual counselling. The article traces origins, governance and standards (open, client centred, confidential), spotlights digital/outreach innovations, reframes marketing from AIDA to Empowerment, and looks ahead to AI and Gen Alpha – arguing for collaboration to keep guidance independent and effective.
