Abstract:
Evaluations are carried out for the further development and accountability of the eval-uation object, for example public funding programmes such as Erasmus+, the EU’s main programme to support mobility and cooperation in education, training, youth and sport. In this context, evaluations face complex problems and must meet high standards, including consideration of the real social context. This makes them particularly suitable for transdisciplinary approaches. This article focuses on how the transdisciplinary approach can be used effectively in evaluations, what specificities of public funding programmes in the European and national educational contexts require such an approach, and which success factors and challenges determine its implementation.
