Abstract:
Course evaluations are a common instrument used at higher education institutions to evaluate teaching and learning. Due to the diversity of subject cultures and the range of different teaching and learning formats on offer, the instruments used can be very varied. At the same time, the ‘proliferation’ of different instruments makes it difficult to coordinate and compare evaluations within the university. This practical report shows how this challenge can be met with the help of a modular principle. The use of a questionnaire toolbox enables the necessary flexibility through individualisation options as well as standardisation and promotes the acceptance of course evaluations.
