Abstract:
Immigration to Germany is partly welcome because it fills gaps in the labor market, and partly rejected as “foreign infiltration”. Stopping it becomes an election campaign issue, accompanied by distortions. This is the latest point at which science is called upon to educate the public as part of its social responsibility. Under the title Immigration in German society – an issue for universities? (Part III) An essay on the preparation of research questions for further scientific clarification, Wolff-Dietrich Webler has analyzed the situation and presented it in three parts in this journal. This Part III shows the means by which they can fulfill this task and the obstacles that exist within universities. A list of desirable research questions completes the text.
