Abstract:
The trainee program in the administration of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) opens up a promising career start: it builds a robust bridge between academic training and professional practice and at the same time drives transformation of the corporate culture forward. Through individual qualification and interdisciplinary exchange, the program strengthens the innovative ability of the institute and encourages young talents to venture onto new paths. The program is seen as a strategic response to the challenges of demographic change and the growing shortage of skilled employees in times of BANI-World (brittle, anxious, non-linear, incomprehensible) in order to identify and develop future professionals and managers and retain them in the organization. The program is a plea for more COURAGE in shaping the future.
