Abstract:
The election for Rector of the Year pretends to be a ranking. But it is certainly not a ranking. Nor is it an assessment of professional suitability or performance. What the grades express remains unclear. Presumably none of this is important, as the voting only serves the DHV’s public relations work anyway. How long the professors will continue to support this remains to be seen.
