Abstract:
What will future generations of prospective and current students look like? What attitudes and expectations will they have when they arrive at universities? Or to put it more generally: “What’s the deal with Generation Alpha?” Based on five selected studies, this text takes a look at which wishes and goals of the next generation could be relevant for student counselling and how it could meet the generation in a target group-oriented manner. To this end, four key questions are used to establish comparability, which in turn enables the development of a general persona that can be used to orientate the communication of the university and its student counselling service.
