Abstract:
How can a premature withdrawal from studies be seen as a journey of development? Study drop-outs are huge challenges and therefore need to be accompanied by professional career guidance. The systemic counselling method Systemische Heldenreise developed by Lindemann (2016) could be used to structure processes of study drop-out. New perspectives on the counselling process are gained by working with metaphors. Career counsellors can use narrative counselling techniques in order to support the process of premature termination.
