Abstract:
Educational success and social background are closely linked in Germany. Striving to create more educational equality, ‘NRW-Talentscouting’ accompanies high-achieving young people from families without academic experience on the path to their professional future. Talentscouts point out paths, provide encouragement and create access to networks. Together with the talented young people, they discover the path that suits them best – regardless of their parental background. The following article describes the ‘Talentscouting’ program, its goals and what working as a talentscout looks like.
