Abstract:
The „faltr“ orientation year at Collegium Academicum in Heidelberg offers young adults a transformative educational experience, combining personal development, vocational orientation, and civic engagement. Based on principles of Liberal Arts, Scandinavian folk schools, and German reform pedagogy, the program emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, self-organization, and sustainable education. Participants benefit from a unique blend of academic seminars, practical projects, and community living, guided by democratic decision-making and peer learning.
