Abstract:
This study examined the institutionalisation of evaluation at several German Universities of Arts, considering it from institutional, conceptual, and methodological perspectives. The analysis revealed that the legal and organisational framework for evaluation at these institutions is well established. However, the Achilles heel remains the discrepancy between the high methodological and dialogical demands, and the limited human resources and, in some cases, the low acceptance of quantitative instruments.
