Abstract:
Strategic projects in higher education are shaped not only by goals and priorities, but also by emotions, conflicts and resistance. Drawing on our consulting experience, this article demonstrates how unspoken tensions or conflicts can influence success or failure. Using case studies, we explore how structured formats can facilitate constructive approaches of dealing with fears or resistance. Effective strategy work requires not only project management, but also time and space for processing emotions, so that a strategy process can be successful in the long term.
