Abstract:
Finding work that is consistently meaningful and aligns with employees‘ individual needs is often challenging and may not readily align with organizational job profiles. Given the current “War of Talents,” companies have to find creative solutions in order to stand out from the crowd of employers. This involves not only attracting top-tier talents but also providing fulfilling roles for current employees, thereby fostering long-term retention. Job crafting has the potential to offer a participatory framework to instruct and encourage employees to find a better fit of job requirements and individual potentials and needs thereby enhancing job satisfaction and ensuring long-term employee loyalty. This article explores the conception, implementation, and preliminary evaluation of a structured learning pathway for job crafting, as well as the initial experiences and insights gained from its application.
