Abstract:
As Chancellor of a medium-sized university, Dr. Ulrike Graßnick is responsible for ensuring that administration, technology, and other service departments provide the best possible support for academic activities in research and teaching. However, it should be noted that the working and employment situation of employees in academic support areas differs significantly from the professional situation of academic staff in relevant aspects. This applies to the question of appropriate staffing levels, as well as the personal interaction between employee groups and the legal and financial framework, which are of fundamental importance for the university’s overall scope for action.
