Abstract:
University secretaries are the real science managers, says Antje Spliethoff-Laiser, who has been working in a university secretariat for over 20 years and, together with numerous colleagues, is promoting nationwide networking among employees. The activists are more concerned with improving the recognition and appreciation of the services provided, but also of the employees themselves. In addition, however, there are doubts as to whether the remuneration of secretarial staff in the past has kept pace with the changing job profiles, which have become increasingly diverse and demanding over time.
