Abstract:
Responding to changing demands of students and an evolution of the legal framework in the Austrian Higher Education system, the University for Continuing Education Krems (UWK) strategically repositions its continuing education programs within the Bologna framework. Emphasizing flexibility and lifelong learning, UWK introduces innovative formats for academic continuing education including Bachelor and Master Professional degrees. Modular design of curricula, microcredentials, and systematic Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) enhance accessibility and academic permeability, aligning qualifications transparently with the National and European Qualifications Framework (NQF/EQF).
