Abstract:
Technological advances and the digital transformation of society led to changes in education. For this reason, the use of digital geomedia in the educational sector is gaining increasing interest. This also applies to education for development (ESD), which is generally carried out as informal education. Now, to actually be used in the ESD, teaching and training materials are required. In order to provide user-centered materials that support and guide the use of digital geomedia in ESD, a transdisciplinary development approach based on a specifically created strategy and workflow using different methods and informed by a process model and design approach is crucial. This enables the targeted involvement of people active in ESD and the identification of special features regarding suitable teaching and training materials.
